Collected Information
By visiting Arena41, you provide us two kind of information: personal one that you may provide us voluntarily; and also use information, collected as you interact with our website.
By registering in Arena41, you provide us certain personal information, such as name, email, address, gender and others that you choose to tell us.
As soon as you enter Arena41, we identify your browser and IP address. We collect this from all our users. Also we store other sorts of information from your browser, using "cookies". Cookies are pieces of data recordeded from your user in your computer. By using session cookies we can see when they are connected to us. These cookies are deleted whenever a user closes the internet browser. We also, as standard, have set to use persistent cookies to store your username (but not your password), aiming to make your visit easier and more comfortable. Whenever you want, you may remove and block them,using your browser's setup window.
Whenever you visit Arena41, You may update your personal profile, interact with other players, play our games and so on. We collect all this information, so we can offer you a personalized service. In most cases, we keep all this information, so you can, for example, view previously played games or access your favorite ones more easily on the your personal list. When you update your profile, we keep a copy of the previous version for some time, just in case it's needed to be restored.
You decide to publish (as defined in the Arena41 Terms of Use) in the site by choice, but keep in mind that no security system in this world is perfect. We can't control the actions of people you decide to share your pages and information with. This way, we can't guarantee complete our user's security against unauthorized people. We can't be responsible in case of invasions or privacity configuration breakings. Even after removing your information, old content can still be acessed in cache archived pages, or copied by other users.
Inadequate storing or use of any information provided to Arena41 constitutes a violation in our Service Terms and must be reported here: privacy@arena41.com.
In case you decide to use our invitation service to tell your friends about our website. We`ll ask you for some necessary information to send them the invitation, such as their e-mail address. We`ll send them an email or PMS in your name, inviting him/her to visit our website and, maybe, up to two reminders. We record their information, not only to send the invitation and reminders, but also add him/her to your friendlist when your invitation is accepted, to allow you to view what invitations you have already sent, and our invitational system. Your friends can contact us via email (privacy@arena41.com) and have his information removed from our database.
By visiting Arena41, you're accepting that all your provided personal information will be transfered and stored in Brazil.
Using the information Obtained by Arena41
When you register in Arena41, you create your own profile. All it's information, such as your name, email and images will be exibited to people on the web. We can occasionaly use your name and email address to inform you about new services, if we believe it's of your interest.
All your profile information is used to represent you in Arena41, and you can always access and update them.
Any profile information sent to Arena41 by you will be available to any other users. Your name, nicknames, and your avatar picture can be searched and viewed in all Arena41 network. And only these pieces of information will be available to external search tools. We made it this way mainly due to the face it's the easiest way for your friends to find you and send you a friendship request.
Arena41 can send you, periodically, an informing message about general system services. For example, when a friend sends you a message, an email can be sent to inform you.
Arena41 can use your profile's information without, revealing you individually, to aid third parties. We do it intending to identify how many users in a network like a specific game and to know better how to personalize our announcements and advertisements, and offer you better Arena41 services. We do believe it beneficts you. When you know better the world around you and where there are announcements, it's more probable that they'll be of your interest. For example, if you set a game as favorite in your profile, we can use it to let you know you when a similar one is released. But we won't tell the announcing company who you are.
Sharing your information with third parties
We only your informations with third parties in certain occasions, when we believe it's an act: (I) Reasonably necessary to offer our service, (II)(2.) required by the law (3.) Allowed by you: for example
- Unlike most sites on the Web, Arena41 limits access to site information by third party search engine "crawlers" (e.g. Google, Yahoo, Live Search, Ask). Arena41 takes action to block access by these engines to personal information beyond your name, Profile picture and limited aggregated data about your Profile.
- We may provide information to service providers to help us bring you the services we offer. Specifically, we may use third parties to facilitate our business, such as to host the service at a co-location facility for servers, to send out email updates about Arena41, to remove repetitive information from our user lists, to process payments for products or services, to offer an online job application process, or to provide search results or links (including sponsored links). In connection with these offerings and business operations, our service providers may have access to your personal information for use for a limited time in connection with these business activities. Where we utilize third parties for the processing of any personal information, we implement reasonable contractual and technical protections limiting the use of that information to the Arena41 specified purposes.
- We occasionally provide demonstration accounts that allow non-users a glimpse into the Arena41 world. Such accounts have only limited capabilities and passwords are changed regularly to limit possible misuse.
- We may be required to disclose user information pursuant to lawful requests, such as subpoenas or court orders, or in compliance with applicable laws. We do not reveal information until we have a good faith belief that an information request by law enforcement or private litigants meets applicable legal standards. Additionally, we may share account or other information when we believe it is necessary to comply with law, to protect our interests or property, to prevent fraud or other illegal activity perpetrated through the Arena41 service or using the Arena41 name, or to prevent imminent bodily harm. This may include sharing information with other companies, lawyers, agents or government agencies.
- If the ownership of all or substantially all of the Arena41 business, or individual business units owned by Palmsoft, Inc., were to change, your user information may be transferred to the new owner so the service can continue operations. In any such transfer of information, your user information would remain subject to the promises made in any pre-existing Privacy Policy.

Arena41 may contain links to other websites. We are of course not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site to read the privacy statements of each and every website that collects personally identifiable information. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by Arena41.
Changing or Removing Informations
Access and control over most personal information on Arena41 is readily available through the Profile editing tools. Arena41 users may modify or delete any of their Profile information at any time by logging into their account. Information will be updated immediately.
Security
Arena41 takes appropriate precautions to protect our users' information. Your account information is located on a secure server behind a firewall. When you enter sensitive information (such as credit card number or your password), we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). Because email and instant messaging are not recognised as secure communications, we request that you do not send private information to us by email or instant messaging services.
